How to use Page Break in MS Word 2007

Page break is a separator of an electronic document having many pages. The electronic document automatically creates next page after typing certain number of words. Number of words in a page depends upon the page layout, size & type of the selected font as well as the opted line spacing.

PURPOSE
Breaking a page is helpful in distinguishing a particular topic from the entire subject.  It helps while taking printout of desired number of pages.  It is also useful when printing the matter on a letterhead or making a cover page. A page break immediately brings text after the required selected position, onto a new page. You can insert a page break anywhere in your document. However, it is not a good idea for formatting reasons. If you insert manual page breaks in documents that are more than several pages in length, you might have to frequently re-break pages as you edit the document. To avoid the difficulty of manually re-breaking pages, you can set options to control where Word positions automatic page breaks.
PROCEDURE

Do the following steps to manually insert a page break in MS Word 2007:-
1)      Bring the cursor to the required position.
2)      Select the Insert tab from the tool bar and click Page Break (Ref. Image 2).

3)      Should you find the size of page is inadequate for your purpose, you may reduce the page size.  In Microsoft Office Word 2007, you can choose many page layouts from the gallery of new page designs. This is done by clicking Page Layout (Next to Insert tab) from the tool bar and setting the Margins, Orientation, Size or Columns according to your requirement.
